Hello all. My ~8 year old cat is getting a teeth cleaning next Friday. I'm nervous, just because that means anaesthesia, possible teeth extractions, and dentistry. I hate not knowing how he actually feels (pain wise). He has gingivitis and major tarter build up... Anyways, to the questions.
If you've had this done on your pets, what was their recovery time? My vet says within an hour he'll be up and running (albeit wobbly). Was this your experience? Since cleaning, have you started any dental routines, like brushing their teeth? If not, do you plan to have them cleaned professionally again? If anyone uses the fresh breath/mouth cleaning water additives, do you have recommendations for one over another?
