Hey all, I'm worried about things that could happen if I neuter my standard poodle at a late age. He is currently 7 months old and he will be getting neutered in late June, when I don't have school so that I can take care of him because my mom works most of the day and won't be able to care for him. This means that he will be 10 months when he gets neutered. I already have discussed with my vet and done a lot of research on how to take care of my dog when he is neutered but I haven't done much research on pros and cons. I have heard people say that it is better for large dogs to get neutered at an older age so that they can develop better. Am I making the right choice by neutering him at that age? I know that he will be a large dog because he is currently about 50 pounds and when he is fully grown, he will be about 75 - 80 pounds. I know that I should do more research but I do want some advice on this.
