Normally my dog (kelpie) is completely perfectly behaved in regard to human food... she never eats anything without being told “okay” and has never in her four years of life helped herself to anything off a human plate. Tonight, though, after we’d finished eating our dinner of baked chicken wings, my sister walked away from her plate and as our dog went to follow her, for some reason she just helped herself to a bone off my sister’s plate. I quickly barked a warning at her, but I couldn’t see whether she dropped the bone or if she hastily swallowed it.
Please tell me how much danger she might be in if she did swallow it, and what sort of symptoms I should look out for, if any?
