We adopted a kitten three days ago. The initial two days at home were filled with excitement, energy, and exploration. But slowly our kitten began turning away food (both dry and wet), stopped drinking water, and began limping on his back legs. Now in his third day home he has slept the entire day. He is still affectionate when we approach him, but he doesn’t move or come to us.
Is this just him going through phases of stress and adjustment, or should we be concerned about a possible other issue? Is there anything we can do to help him be interested in drinking and eating again?
