Would animal control take my cat without letting me know? (Back story in comments)

So this morning, a cat that ended up being my outside cat after I moved into a new home accidentally bit me as I was feeding him.

Basically I was putting the food in his bowl with my right hand and I got too close to his mouth and he bit my finger by accident, he didn’t even realize he did it as he continued to eat.

I cleaned the bite and went to work but decided when I got off to go to the minor emergency to make sure it didn’t get infected, the problem with that was they called animal control on the cat because it’s their policy and I’m worried they are going to come scoop him up without letting me know.

There are two cats that live outside my house and a lot in my neighborhood so there is no way they can know what cat it it ( I didn’t give out that information to the doctor)

They haven’t come today and I’m worried they will come by tomorrow when I’m at work and not able to talk to them.
These cats don’t have any paperwork that I’m aware of, they came to my house after my neighbor passed away so I have no idea what their shot records look like if they have any at all.
