Baby just wanted nothing to do with our new addition, Buddy. She'd run away from him every time he approached her to play (or search with his sharp teeth for milk...). But finally, after two weeks of coaching and FAIR treatment (she got a treat everytime he did, and just as much praise for "pooping outside," she let him be on the couch with her. She was hesitant at first, but I kept petting her and him (he laid right down, as if he was trying to get her approval). I sighed with relief as Baby finally let her head rest on his back. Finally!
Baby's seldom been around other dogs and has been queen of the den for 8+ years. He's feisty and wants to play all the time. But they both have great personalities. I just wanted to share this sweet picture and story with the rest of you pet-lovers out there, especially those of you who know how difficult it can be to introduce a new member into the household!
(and, I'm hoping this pic doesn't post upside down like it uploaded in the draft...WHY does Reddit do that, anyway? lol)
