Accidentally bought (and opened) a bag of puppy food for my adult dog..

It was positioned right below a larger bag of the adult food, so I just grabbed it assuming it was the same. I didn't notice until I poured it out and the kibbles were tiny. I figured it'd be alright to use for a few days until I could get a replacement bag, but she's starting to seem a little backed-up. Anything I can do or add to make this food more usable so I didn't just waste $40? I've already increased her exercise quite a bit to keep up with the additional calories in the food.
