I have a friend who got into a very bad relationship where the boyfriend beats her dog and 2 cats, and she will not do anything about it because he has her brainwashed/ is super manipulative/controlling (that’s a whole other story). She told me SHE now beats her animals because if she beats them, he doesn’t and she “goes softer” on them than he does (whatever that means). I barely speak to her anymore because of how bad her boyfriend is, and her younger sister and I want to call animal control on them to help get the animals out of there. Do we have to have any form of proof that they beat them? I know she would lie to any authority to protect her boyfriend. I just want to get those animals safe and in a happy home.
