How do I acclimate my 4 year old cat to our new kittens?

Two weeks ago we brought home two new kittens--Steve and Alastor. My older cat, Kassius, is very sensitive and has also had a rough year and a half--we lost his brother, Binx, suddenly in March 2018 to a virus that shut down his internal organs. The vet said it's rare and doesn't have a cure. The two were very close and I don't think my boy ever fully recovered from the loss.

This past April, our other cat, Ru, left the house and never came back. All our cats are indoor/outdoor, so we're used to them going outside, but Ru left one evening and we haven't seen him since. We are all still learning to accept it, and assume he either got picked up by someone or hit--only we weren't able to find his body. Wild animals are another possibility, too.

As well, we housed my sibling's cat for from December to April, and he was a nightmare. He'd beat up my cat in particular and make life hell for him.

Kassius, my cat, lost two brothers inside of just over a year, and has always been really sensitive to anything new. With these new kittens, he hates them. Meows and growls at them, bats then on the head when they get too close, and generally doesn't like to be around them--but sometimes he let's them come up to him and they'll rub faces. But then he'll meow at them usually and get into a defensive position.

The kittens are small for now, but they won't stay that way for long. We think one is a Maine Coon mix, and the other is a bit runty, but they're still growing fast. Kassius is small even as a full-grown cat.

How can I get my boy to get used to the new kittens? Steve and Alastor have their own room, so they're not in constant contact or anything. We also plan to keep Steve and Alastor and indoor only cats. I monitor any time they spend with Kassisus, too.
