A brief bit of background, I'm thinking about starting up my own adoption-only pet store. Depending on the size of the store I can get, I plan on having sections of the store bordered off and prepared for social animals to roam in a certain location of the store (obviously, keeping each species separate in their own enclosures). I.E. Animals like ferrets, rabbits, guinea pigs, etc. are very social animals and large animals so they'll need plenty of space. So, can you introduce new members of these animals into an already established group with little issue? For example, let's say I have 6 guinea pigs in an enclosure and I'm essentially fostering (idk if it counts as fostering if it's in a store?) in an enclosure meant to hold more then 6 piggies. I get a 7th guinea pig and right after it's out of quarantine (just to make sure it's healthy) I toss it in the guinea pig pack. Would this be fine or would this result in fights due to a new animal in the cage? or would this be a species-by-species basis?
