I have a dog and hes my best friend. I live alone so I wanted to get another animal(s) to keep my doggo company when I'm away at work or wherever. I wont be leaving ferrets out of their cage when I'm not home but I think them just being there will probably make my dog feel less lonely. He gets along with other animals so that isnt an issue.
Ferrets are super cute and hilarious. I would get 2 because they do better in pairs. The fact they sleep a lot and are nocturnal is great because I work swing shift. So they would be getting up when I get home.
Cats seem more self sufficient and maybe would be better keeping my dog company while I'm away since it will free roam.
Anybody have any advice?
