Dog with iron poisoning

So my 2 year old dog accidentally broke apart a hand warmer. We aren't sure of how much of the powder he ate.

In the first 4-6 hours he vomited once, and we took him to the hospital to induce further vomiting. He's been in hospital for a few days now. Last night he got green diarrhoea. Apparently there is a delay in some of the symptoms up to 96 hours. We are aout 40 hours in and he hasn't shown one serious or consistent symptom.

His liver and kidneys are all fine, and the binding agent was used to flush out the iron, which showed minimal iron in his urine. This means the initial exposure wasn't too high.

Things are looking good, but there are still 2 more days before he is out of the 96 hour bracket. The vet said because initial symptoms were minimal, there should not be any major delayed complications.

Has anyone else experienced a condition like this with their dog? Do you think my dog will be okay based off of the information provided?

It's a real waiting game right now and the anxiety is terrible.
