Just as title says, her cat will act nice towards me. i.e greet me at the door, let me pet her, brings me her favorite toy ect. But for some seemingly unknown reason, she will just start meowing that turns into growling and hissing and attempts to bite and scratch at me. She also only attacks my girlfriend when the cat is either in her tree or in a weird mood swing, but pretty much loves her. I'm guessing protective of my girlfriend, but apparently she is perfectly fine with some people.
I've owned cats my whole life and have never had an issue like this, and I know it's not due to the scent of other cats because when we first met my cats weren't in the same house as me. Already tried playing with her, leaving her alone when I would notice her starting to get randomly upset, be the one feeding her, and giving her treats. (Just tried this now as I typed this up and she ignored it, ouch.)
I would love some advice in being able to tone her down so I can peacefully walk around her place without the fear of being shredded up. Thanks in advance!
