Sorry for the formatting, I'm just typing this up...
My 4-5 Year Old, Female, Rescue, Lab / ChowChow Mix, is a great dog. I love this dog to death. The issue is, is that she doesn't like anybody that isn't myself or my Mother and Father. I'm 24 Years old. Live alone. My dog has bit 1 friend unprovoked and has attempted to bite others. I rescued her 2 years ago and have had 3 trainers. Nothing that i've done has been able to get her to change her attitude. I am going to be moving in 3 months, and i'm at the point where I'm not sure if I should make this move with her. I don't believe I should give her to a rescue, because I truly don't believe that she'll get adopted and 99% of the shelters i've seen will NOT take an Aggressive dog. Even NoKill Shelters won't take her if she's aggressive. And If I don't disclose that she's aggressive to begin with, if they find out, they'll put her down and she'll be all alone. If they don't find out and she by some grace of god does get adopted, then there is always the risk that she can snap on somebody and hurt somebody.
If I have company over, I keep her crated.
If my company doesn't mind her, she'll be muzzled with a cage muzzle and be allowed to walk around the house.
I don't believe i'm giving her the best quality of life at this point, considering that anytime I have someone over, she's going to be crated.
I believe the only option I have, is to have her put down. Please give me any advice.
