We got our cat from the shelter a couple months ago. We chose him specifically because no one wanted him because he’s older and a little overweight.we noticed as soon as we got him that he’s very vocal. To the point that it’s annoying and we won’t stop meowing for anything. It’s even worse when it’s close to his feeding time. He also recently started acting up and going poop on the carpet in the room where his stuff is. He usually goes fine in his litter box but is randomly going in the carpet now even if his litter box is clean. I’ve been wondering if there’s something else going on and he may be special needs or something because how vocal he is is and his behaviors are definitely not normal. Advice or ideas?
