My cat is a male domestic long hair kitten named Charley. We got him in November of 2017, I believe. He was a few months old. At the place where we adopted him, they had a chart, and it basically said that he was shy and not mean at all. Yeah, that was a total lie, but ey, thanks for the cute cat!
Here comes the backstory of the title. He was shy when we got him. He hid behind cabinets, which was not safe for him. We got him into my room for the night. We had his food bowls in there, everything was fine. He had a litter box as well. So, I go to sleep for the night, and his small kitten body cuddles up to me. I wake up, I roll over, before realizing, "ohwait-theresacathere--" and I saved myself from rolling onto him. I notice something fall off of me. It was a fricking cat turd. The size of a small marble, but none the less, disgusting. I jump out of my bed. The reign of our love-hate relationship has begun.
Fast forward to the present. I can be laying down, him beside me purring and we are just cuddling. He's having a good time. A few minutes later, he will jump down from the couch or bed to eat. He has his food, and I get up to get my phone. Suddenly, he will L U N G E at my legs. (He is not declawed.) He will scratch and bite my legs and arms, and will not let go until I start bleeding. But that's only when I get up.
Usually, he sits at the top of the couch. That means not in the middle where all the pillows are, but on the very top of it. 9.5/10, I will walk up to him and start kissing his head. 7/10, he will claw and bite at my lip. He either misses or hits my face. He can hit my eye, lip, ear, or nose. He is so aggressive that he once got his claw stuck in my nostril. He has also gotten his claw stuck in my lip. Same goes with when I pet him. He has ALSO gotten his claw behind my fingernail. It hurts, man. It ain't cash money.
So yeah, would you rather have an adorable bipolar cat, or have no cat at all? Also, the chart at where we got him was a l i e !
