Hi all, looking for a bit of advice I guess :)
I have a cat, she's about 5. I got her with her brother when they were kittens. I live with my 2 kids who stay with their dad on the weekends (2 nights per week).
About a month ago her brother had to be put to sleep, he had kidney failure and it was just a sad time for everyone. Amelia, my female cat, seemed to flourish though. I was concerned that she would become depressed without him but she became a really friendly and chill cat.
In the last couple of weeks though she has been a nightmare at night time. When my kids are home we have no bother because she will settle on my daughter's bed. The weekends however she is really unsettled. She bit me one night to wake me up, she likes to sit either on my back or my side when I'm sleeping but she will walk up and down the bed, up and down me multiple times a night. If I shut her out of the bedroom she sits and howls and scratches the door.
She has been spayed so I know it's not anything to do with that.
I'm not sure if it's just that she's now a little lost without her brother. I just thought I'd ask to see if anyone else has any experience or advice? :)
