I don’t know what to do with this dog lol
He is a year old. Great Dane. He aggressively barks and jumps at anyone who he is in the house or just outside the door, even my brother who lives downstairs in the basement. He will even aggressively bark just from a tiny sound and it can last for several minutes! Very loud bark. We also recently has started peeing and pooping by the front door area. Usually with absolute no warning. But once he does it, he will bark around the house as if to say “someone look what i did!”
This is my parent’s dog. My fiancé and I live in their house, along with my brother. I am however moving out soon. And I feel like I’m the only one who can be calm about the dog’s acting out moments. My parents, however, are not very understanding about animal problems. So I’m scared how they will handle this without me. I have been telling them it might be him “marking his territory” due to him still not having his... “manliness”?... snipped. But they keep just passing it off as him just being a “brat” Although it could just be an anxiety problem.
Any thoughts? What do you think it is? And if you have an idea what the dog’s problem is, feel free to give me any helpful articles that prove it and help me argue the situation with my parents.
