Hello! I have just recently taken up running. I have a 2 year old lab/German Shepherd/ husky mix. She is high energy and LOVES running with me.
So far I go short distances but I plan to increase my distance as I go. She's in excellent health, regular vet check ups and all that jazz. Is there anything I need to be cautious of when taking her running? This may seem like a super easy question but I want to make sure I'm not putting her at risk.
I've also seen people using leashes that wrap around the runners waist. Anyone use that? How much water do you take for the dog? Ok to feed her some food right after or wait? Is there a limit on how much she should run like 3 miles vs 6 miles?
