I took in a stray about 2 weeks ago. She's 6 months old and has liquid diarrhea, the entire time I've had her. I took her to the vet on Dec. 23rd for vaccine and brought it up but they just brushed me off, saying it's normal. Well it hasn't got better in the slightest, and today she actually had a poo where she started crying and desperately pooing all over the floor, crying every time. The vet is still brushing it off after I called them, saying we can look into it on the 15th when she gets her spay proceedure done. I don't understand? Every google search tells me that this is a serious "vet immediately" situation. Should I dump my vet, or am I blowing this out of proportion?
I've tried multiple things.
I started off feeding her Friskies Wet food from the day I took her in from the streets. But she had diarrhea before(she pooed all over my patio)
A 24 hour fast followed by a "bland" diet of boiled chicken. This didn't help at all.
Bought Purina Gentle(based off of a lot of google search many people reccomended this food) but this change got me the screaming poo from earlier...
Tried a 2 parts water 1 part unflavored pedialyte water mix. No effect.
And yeah I did the old food/new food mix thing when changing.
My first thought is she has worms, but my vet doesn't even seem to care or think it's a big deal. I'm just lost... None of my other cats have ever had diarrhea problems so I dont know how to handle this at all.
