Cat is making roomate and I go insane

Okay so, I'm going to preface this by saying we got my cat from a friend who could no longer have her, in her old house she was locked away in a room and never really got attention.

So before we adopted her I've never known her to be a yappy cat especially in the mornings when her old owner was sleeping, the only time id hear her meow was when she was getting fed. But now she will not stop meowing omg. She constantly is yowling and meowing, its really loud and really annoying. Sometimes itll 6 am (my roomie and I stay up pretty late usually) and she will be yowling non stop.

We tried spray bottles which we immedietly stopped because it seemed to make her anxious, we've tried feeding her before bed and playing with her before bed, we've tried ignoring her. We have tried everything, I even feed her as soon as I wake up (more like she wakes me up). I've taken her to a get and they said she was healthly but that maybe she might have arthritis so we got pain killers for her but they just make her sleep all day and dopey so we dont want to keep giving her them unless we actially know shes in pain. Which I dont think she is

My cat is very cunning and has a unique personality, sometimes I swear she is understanding us when we are training her she just chooses to not follow it lol I dont understand why she is constantly like this, we feed her the proper amount scheduled, she gets tons of loving throughout the day and cuddles at night, we play with her lots everyday, shes a very pampered cat now.

Its starting to even cause tension between my roomate and I and giving us anxiety. Anyone dealt with somthing similar? We are going insane
