My rescue kitty is 13 now I've had him about a year. He just had a full physical a few days ago so I know the following behavior is not due to any health issue (he had the works done, blood tests, urine, full exam) Lately if any of my dirty laundry falls on the floor in one spot he'll pee on it. He also uses the litter box fine but he seems to prefer to pee on my laundry if it falls from the hamper which is obviously very gross. He was declawed by whoever had him before so I thought maybe he didn't like the litter I bought but he uses his litter box fine as well. He seems to be a bit bored lately randomly meowing for me to come play with him which I do often but I work a lot and he has a kitty friend and a lot of toys for entertainment when I'm gone. I've been giving him more attention to see if that helps and I got both the cats some new toys but he doesn't really play with any of them. Does anybody have any suggestions on what to do about the laundry marking? Also does anybody know of any toys that their picky cat actually likes to play with. I got that orange thing with the 3 levels and the balls they can push but neither cat was interested lol I also have wand toys and a lot of little fake mice and a tunnel for them to run through...they both don't really seem interested in any toys and just occasionally chase each other around. I'm trying to see if maybe keeping him more entertained and playing more will help the behavior but I need to find toys he'd like.
