I recently adopted a kitten from a foster home a few days ago. He was housed with his mother and a few other siblings. Everything was fine when he was brought home, he was snooping around my room and interacting with my girlfriend and myself. About 20 minutes later I had my door open and my roommate walked by. As soon as he saw my roommate he darted under my bed and then under my dresser. We let him have his space and eventually fell asleep. After a few hours we were woken up by a constant yowling, and I mean CONSTANT. Like every second for minutes on end before a brief break and then he’d start again. Now, 2 days later he’s doing the same thing except it’s all day and all night. I cannot sleep at all. I’m worried he’s missing his siblings too much, this is his first time not living with any other cats. I’ve been able to pick him up on occasion but most of the time he will run away from me and seems very frightened by me and will stay under my bed meowing. I’ve had kittens before but never a problem like this.
