recently my sister came to live at home again and she brought along her dog a chihuahua with her. The dog gets along with everyone great except for my dad, who she chases, barks/growls at, and even sometimes tries to bite him. Thing is, she only acts aggressively with him when he’s up and walking but when he sits down she’ll lay in his lap and let him pet her like its all cool. What could be the reason for this?
We thought maybe it was because he uses a cane to get around, but my grandma also uses a cane and the dog doesn’t act bothered by my grandma’s cane at all. She also acts aggressively when he does not use the cane. My sister also suggested it could be his hat, because apparently the dog doesn’t like hats, but she’ll go after him even if he’s not wearing a hat and she will still lay in his lap when he is wearing one.
My dad’s never been mean with the dog or anything, so I can’t think of any other reason why she’s acting this way.
Any suggestions on how to fix this or why this may be happening?
