After I had expressed my interest in getting one, my mum got 3 budgies for Christmas. We have separated them to try to make it easier to train them. The 2 males seem to be coming along with their finger training with my mum and sister, however the female just won't cooperate with me. I tend to keep her in my room unless I'm at work, then I'll take her down to the boys so she has company. She continuously tries to get out of her cage to get to the males when she is downstairs, and when she is upstairs she will get stressed and call for them if she hears them. I've considered putting her back in with one of them to see if she might follow their lead, however I'm afraid if she has their company then she will never bond with me. I've been very patient with her and attempted to bribe her with millet, however she is very picky about when she'll take it and as soon as she realises my fingers are near her she freaks out. Now and then I will be able to stroke her stomach, but it never lasts long before she runs away. I'm getting close to wanting to give up.. any advice would be helpful.
