I have a 9 year old male cat. He is overweight and lazy. Often he wanders around the house and meows endlessly. I check that his needs are met (food, water, clean litter) and I try to play with him. Most of the time he'll only play for a few minutes before he looses interest and goes back to meowing. He's always done this. But last month, the only other cat in the house passed away suddenly. They had lived together their entire lives. Since then, the meowing fits have gotten worse. They go on for hours everyday. What should I be doing for him? I'm at a total loss for what else to do.
