I've never felt grief like this. My heart is hurting so much. He was old, 13 years. I had him since he was a puppy. I never imagined life without him and now I have to. I know it was the right call to put him to sleep. He got so sick so quickly. They think it was lymphoma, his lymph nodes were very swollen, fluid in his tummy, and high fever. Treatment most likely would not have been effective. I stayed till the end, and it was the most relaxed I've seen him in a long time. I miss him so much, my house is so empty.
