My roommates cat and my cat are hyper at 11pm -12am when I’m trying to sleep. My cat will rip at the stool I have blocking the shelf where I keep my (expensive) art supplies. She’s so determined to get in there that she won’t listen if I say no or redirect her with play. I really don’t want my paper bent up and eaten so this is giving me anxiety. She’s ripping at my bed too since it’s right next to the shelf. I don’t think I’m going to get to bed at all tonight.
My roommates cat likes to jump on everything and get into things. The two cats also run around play fighting which makes noise and stresses me out because there’s a high possibility of them running into things and knocking things over.
I work during the day so I can’t play with them during the day. They play with each other a lot during that time. I understand that cats are active at certain times of night. Is it possible to get them to bed earlier or am I just going to have to forget about sleep?
