Just had to let my cat go because of a tumor. Cancer is the worst.

Recently my cat was rushed to the ER because the vet thought he had IMHA, which he did. While there they found out he had a mass in his small intestine or duodenum. We were told the surgery was extremely risky (only a 10% chance of survival) so we had to make the tough call to let him go. All options we had were bandaids for him to feel better but ultimately lead him right back where we were.

Thankfully they were able to get him spry again with a blood transfusion and steroids so he was able to go out in no, or at least less, pain. It was tough seeing him so playful again but we knew it wouldn’t last. He passed in my girlfriends lap, his favorite place to be, happy as ever with a full tummy of tuna and treats.

If your furry friend stops eating and is not interested in food for 2-3 days please take them to vet right away. It could be something very serious. We luckily caught everything in time, it just also unluckily had a very serious underlying cause we could not fix.
