I have a 4 month old kitten. About a couple of weeks ago, me and my husband were going away on a trip so I let my sister take her home to my parents home (where I lived up until I got married less than a month ago)
Before going on the trip, she was purring all the time, playing, sleeping, eating, giving kisses on the nose
After the trip, I went back to my parents house to stay the night then take my kitten home the next day.
When I got there, my siblings reported that "she hasn't been playing much" that day and I brushed it off as maybe she's had fun-packed holiday and is tired. The next day when we were taking her home my sister told me she usually gives kisses or snuggles up to my dad to sleep, which she hadn't been doing since that day she stopped playing.
I thought maybe after she comes home to her usual environment she'll be better. It's been 2-3 days and she still isn't responding to pets, purring or giving kisses. She plays on her own for ages or meows for the kitchen door to be opened or meows for food.
What do I make of this behaviour for a 4 month old kitten
P.S. we have a 13 year old cat at home. She would always play with him before her "holiday" and since she's come back she's playing with him like normal. When she started acting different at my parents home, we thought maybe she misses her friend
