Hi,
First time cat owner. Have a male ragdoll of nearly 1 year. He loves to play, always cuddles up to us at night. Falls on the ground and begs for pats when I come home, sleeps near me at night, but every so often, he'll nibble me for attention.
It really only happens at night when we are all settling down to sleep. He will walk up to me, cuddle, purr, and ask for pats, but then he will bit my wrist/shoulder/arm. Sometimes he will even jump at my hand to grab it. He will often combine this with licking, almost like he's chewing me in an attempt to clean me haha.
He always has his claws retracted, never really even seen them out, so I think it is just playing. But I was wondering, is there any way to stop this, and does it mean anything not so great in terms of mental health/behaviour?
