need help with buying a turtle

so i am thinking of buying a red eared slider which online says can be bought for 20 dollars or less. how much would it cost for the stuff to look after him (habitat ect) and whats the monthly cost of food and is there any other monthly cost? i would prefer answer in brirish pounds
