Please help me make my cat friendly with my puppy.

We adopted our cat (Tip) from the shelter a year ago at 5 years old and they never said anything about him not getting along with dogs. In fact, he was the only cat in the shelter that was free roam along with 3 dogs and he wasn’t locked in the kitty room. We got our 14 week old puppy (Moon) a couple weeks ago from a breeder because I really wanted a black lab and our local shelter didn’t have any. Moon is very friendly and playful as most pups are, but Tip seems to absolutely hate him. When we got Tip, he was already declawed so when Moon approaches him, he will hiss and start smacking him in the face, but without claws I guess Moon thinks he’s playing? Tip free roams the two story house while Moon is restricted to our room unless we are elsewhere in the house until he is house trained and is trusted not the eat anything. I’m really sad for Tip because we had him first and I want him to be happy, especially because we just moved into our house a few days ago, which offers so much more space than our apartment did. Is there any hope that I can get Tip to warm up to the puppy so we can all spend time in the same room without causing him stress?
