My cat: 1 year, F
Roommates cat: 6-7 months, F
Roommates cat lived in the house first. I’ve been introducing the cats together for about a week. Roommates cat likes to dash into my room where my cat is staying, so they’ve ended up having face to face contact without any barriers sooner than I wanted. However I think maybe they’re starting to adjust?
My cat is submissive and does not show any signs of aggression at all. She just lets roommates cat do her thing.
Roommates cat growls and hisses a little bit, and swats my cat, though not hard. She did start swatting with her claws out once and I separated them right away.
They can be playing in the same room together, roommates cat is getting more and more able to play without getting distracted by my cat.
My cat just got the courage to leave my room, and she’s exploring all roommates cat’s stuff now. Roommates cat isn’t being overly aggressive. I think they’re making a truce and establishing whose stuff is whose.
