Hi there. So I have a bit of a bittersweet question for cat owners here. I have a young cat that’s just under a year old and due to circumstances beyond my control, I can no longer keep her with me no matter how much I want to. She’s super sweet and very attached to me (I think - cats man... can’t understand em sometimes ha). Luckily though, my grandparents have agreed to give her a shot in their place and see how it works out. They live in another state though, so I’m spending about 2 weeks with them and bringing my little lady to her new potential home. So given this situation, I’m wondering if there’s anything I can or should be doing to make this transition as smooth as possible for her. Optimally, she’d be attached enough to my grandpa that she can chill on his lap (which would lead to them being much more likely to keep her, which in turn leads to me being able to see her for holidays), but her current style of socialization is a bit... selective. Does anyone have any advice or tips that might help me help her in this process? And for if the grandparent thing doesn’t work and she has to go to someone else without me being able to ease her in, is there anything I can do?
Thanks for any help
