For cat owners who have had a cat with a URI, did your cat go through a period of time breathing through their mouth? My cat is coughing and sneezing, so we went to the vet 2 days ago and she was diagnosed with a URI – vet listened to her lungs and they sounded good, but the next day I noticed her breathing through her mouth and when she would lay down, her mouth breathing was audible and a little heavier. She is on day 3 of antibiotics, still coughing, sneezing, and breathing through her mouth. I’m assuming this is because of nasal congestion but was wondering if this was a common occurrence in cats with URIs? What is your experience having a cat with a URI?
