Hi!
With some upcoming housing changes and a potential shift in my lifestyle in general, getting a cat has finally become a possibility. However, with that I have some questions that I just haven't been able to find any real answer to. These questions are with an adult cat in mind, not a kitten.
When you buy litter, how much litter typically is used by volume to fill the litter pan? I see relatively large boxes of litter sold in various sizes but I'm not sure if the cost associated with that is a monthly or weekly purchase.
How do typical vet expenses compare? In many cases, most cats when adopted have already received their shots and have been neutered or spayed but there's always the possible need for medication or regular checkups. Is there any common vet expenses I should be prepared for?
Is there a "best practice" for establishing spaces the cat can or cannot go? This is probably a pretty simple question but I'd prefer to find a way that involves positive reinforcement rather than just negatively associating something with the space.
Thanks guys!
