My cat recently had bladder stone removal surgery. Since he started this issue, he’s been on a mostly wet food diet (fancy feast. He doesn’t like the better quality expensive stuff) and a few dry kibbles for his health. The vet called me and said because of the types of stones he had they want him on a special ph diet and want to give him prescription foods. They mentioned Royal Canin Urinary SO and Hills Science Diet multi-care CD. They are expensive and my pet insurance will not cover food. I have tried looking at online suppliers but they are not cheaper than what my vet offered. Are there other good options? I’ll get the prescriptions if that’s the only thing that will work.
