I'll make this as short and to the point as possible:
I rushed my cat to the vet early Wednesday morning because what I thought initially was a back leg injury turned into a bladder blockage and kidney issues.
They later told me that his creatinine levels when he came in were an 18 (They are supposed to be a 2.9 or so, they said). Yesterday they dropped down to 14. Today they're at a 5.9.
Shady's started drinking water on his own. They may inject food if he doesn't eat on his own soon.
They are still using the word "guarded" as a prognosis. I wish they'd just tell me what his percentage chance is.
They said the bill is just south of $1,500 so far. Each additional day is about $200-250. I have zero idea if that's reasonable or not.
I guess I should give him another 24 hours of this right? I just don't want to prolong the suffering.
When do you know it's time to end it?
