Trying to be lighthearted but it's shattering deep down having her be standoffish!
I recently bought a new puppy because as much as my cat is the world's most CUDDLY and affectionate cat, I craved a companion to keep me upbeat right now and get me active. I work from home anyway so I have the time to take him outside regularly for potty trips and train him.
She's been handling it well all things considering, just spending a lot of time in the garden and coming up to have a sniff/attempt to communicate with the strange one. (I've had him on a lead but she did slap him tonight because she appeared out of nowhere in the cornered off zone and he tried to play.)
The main thing as that she's just not been loving on us, I knowwwww it's to be expected but I just feel so guilty oh man. I've had her for two years and she's such a sweetheart, I'm just scared she'll never forgive me hahaha
TLDR; Bought a new puppy and cat is icing me big time.
