New 8.5 year old cat doesn't always pee in the litter box.

My partner and I live in an apartment with one cat (6 yr neutered male), and we got a second baby (8.5 yr spayed female) about five days ago. She's been doing well, and the only struggle is that while I've seen her use the litter box, she's also peeing in the bedroom (so far just one spot that I know of). We have two litter boxes that we sift every other day (though it seems they both prefer to use just one of the litter boxes).

- She currently has a UTI, which is at least partly the reason she's peeing outside of the litter box. We're about halfway through her antibiotics, so I'm not sure when I should start seeing an improvement by now or if it just needs more time / another round of antibiotics to fix the accidents. Either way, I definitely want to prevent her from peeing in the bedroom out of habit even after we've successfully treated her UTI, but I'd rather not keep a litter box in our bedroom for the rest of our lives if possible lol

- This has been quite a change for her, coming to a new place with new owners in addition to getting used to being around another cat. I'm expecting there to be some bumps along the road, but I'm not sure if this is caused by stress that will resolve itself with time or if I need to go ahead and take steps to make sure she stops peeing in the bedroom

I guess the main issue is that I'm not sure if I just need to give the antibiotics more time to work, or if this is a transitional stressful time and she'll start peeing in the litter box more consistently after she acclimates along with treating the UTI, or if I need to actively work to get her peeing in the litter boxes and nowhere else.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated!
