I'm concerned that my cat I adopted yesterday suddenly isn't eating and has an 180 degree shift in behavior.
Yesterday he would eat and would make multiple efforts to come towards me to get pet. He more or less was receptive to getting pet and some food as well as exploring one or two rooms.
However, since this morning till now, he hasn't eaten anything and has remained in my closet. He wouldn't eat in the morning and when I got back home the food was still there. I gave him a new can of food but he still refused to eat. In addition, he's been acting listless. He doesn't make an effort to get pet or come out. He's also been sneezing quite a bit. Right now he's just laying on my closet floor on his sides. He hasn't meowed or been aggressive towards me though.
Should I be concerned that he suddenly isn't eating or acting completely different than yesterday?
Or is it perhaps the stress that's getting to him?
