I've lived in this house for 10 years. My dog has been here for 2. He used to be afraid of the dark outside but got over that quickly. He's not really afraid of anything not even fireworks. Two nights ago, he woke me up by barking at the register for the AC/heat on the floor. My bedroom has three and only one he is barking at. I got up, checked it out and saw nothing. I removed the register and checked the duct, nothing. I soothed him, got him into bed with me, and went back to sleep. He has persistently checked on this register since. He whines at it, barks at it, and faces it when he sleeps. I've sat with him for over an hour listening and nothing is there. The AC is running, so I closed the register in hopes that it would make him leave it alone, but it hasn't. Any ideas why he is suddenly so irritated by this one register but none of the others in the house bother him?
