My gf has had her rabbit for many years now and recently got a 2 year old cat about a month and a half ago. Her cat has been (and still is) fairly shy so she hides a lot but has recently started being more open and curious, including walking up to her rabbit's cage in the night and just lying down to watch her.
During these situations her rabbit is fine and just watches her as well, but when she has her out of the cage she sometimes thumps when seeing her. During the day her rabbit will occasionally waltz up to her cat and sniff her but usually runs away afterwards.
Are there any tips for helping to calm down her rabbit while we're trying to get her cat to warm up more to her?
