Here is a previous post I made a few weeks ago for context.
So it's been over three weeks and the puppy is still here. It seems he's going to be here indefinitely because our roommate can't seem to decide whether or not to keep him.
Since my last post, our kitten went in heat and during the time that she was in heat, she started trying to get the puppy to mate with her. She also started peeing on our bed. Before that, she's never had any problems with her litter box. We never trained her, she just knew where to go.
It's been weeks and she still keeps wetting her bed. At least once every other day. We make sure her litter box is clean and we've started keeping the two apart.
My girlfriend has noticed that she pees when she's alone and wherever our blankets are. I suggested we completely ban her from being alone with our bed until we're sure she won't wet it again. My girlfriend has suggested we be more diligent with folding our blankets when we wake up so she doesn't think to pee on them. Are the unfolded blankets a factor? Is there anything we can do to make her stop ruining our sheets and mattress?
Other info:
- We have her scheduled to get spayed by the end of August.
- Puppy has been dewormed twice now. Kitten has also been dewormed a second time.
- Puppy is still not vaccinated.
- We can't keep them apart 100% of the time (because our cat just jumps into his playpen when she feels like it) but they're always supervised.
