Hi all. So I moved to Hawaii about a year ago and moved into a place with my now ex girlfriend and we got 2 cats together. I love them both very much and my ex has finally found a place to move out to but she is only taking one of the cats. I am 22. I have had cats my entire life and I love the one she is leaving behind but I felt a bit pressured to get one because she wanted them very badly and now the one she is leaving behind is and a pretty laidback for the most part cat but I do not think I can provide for her. I am constantly in and out of work with the lockdowns and I also am not home very often and I also plan on moving around a lot the next 5-10 years and I do not want to stress the cat out. She is only a year old, but I feel like we are just neutral to each other, she does not hang out with me often and her tail wags whenever I pet her and she seems to be more interested in food than anything else. I am not sure what to do but I feel terrible because I want to commit to this cat but it seems as if it is not working out for us.
