Veterinary insight

Well damn. I have been in the field for the last decade. I started as a assistant and have worked my way up to Hospital Manager. Every day gets harder. Fuck. I am so tired of all the hardship that this field has to offer. Why are clients such assholes, why are patients less socialized and harder to deal with. This industry has such a high suicide rate and I totally understand. From every group I am a part of our answer to all of this is alcohol. We are so used to doing everything the human field does, but with all of the issues only we face. Why does this cost so much? You are only in for the money? I did not get all my answers of what is wrong with my dog from just an exam? We are only human, we are most definitely not in it for the money! The animal care field makes less then the 25% less then our human counterparts for the same job, why? People need to understand we do what we do because we care and will stay late, work extra days, not take a break, because we want to help you. Just please, stop taking us for granted, and stop saying we don’t care. I didn’t leave work 4 hours late today covered in you’re HBC because I don’t care.
