It was the most heart breaking, horrifying and sad thing I've ever seen or been part of - and I felt so utterly heartbroken because he kept coming to me like I had a miracle cure for his pain but alas, all I could do was just pet and cuddle him through it all. Not exaggerating at all, but my heart is literally in pain from the grief I felt, so I can't even begin to imagine how bad he must feel.
He was about to start eating his meal, when he started switching places. He usually does this to get comfortable and get to the "right spot" - but this time he just sat up REAL FAST, and just looked at me with concerning eyes after which his jaw just opened REAL FAR WIDE and his entire body got stiff as he foamed from his mouth while struggling to move.
I initially thought that he had something stuck in his throat but just as soon as he came towards me and I held him to see what's up, I felt his stiff body trembling and it hit me that it could be a seizure.
The first "jaw-locked-open" seizure lasted about 5 minutes, then there was about a 3 minute interval after which it happened again. This time he got on my lap and we struggled through it for about 5-6 more minutes after which he calmed down, but then had another "jaw-locked-open" seizure for about 2-3 minutes, and it was the last one. After this he was just foaming from the mouth while he was on my lap as I cranked the A/C up and started wiping his drool/foam off and trying to cool him down with a cool wet rag (had heard of doing so somewhere in the past so it seemed like a good idea at the time).
Following that, he just looked drowsy, exhausted and confused with his eyes half-shut - but he eventually got off my lap to go lay in his spot, and he's been there since 8 hours now.
He just woke up to pee, but refused to drink any water. I offered him some ice-cream (he loves vanilla ice-cream) and he started growling at me whenever I tried to persuade him to eat even the tiniest bit. So I've backed off now and I understand he needs to recuperate and he needs his space.
But the "not eating, not drinking" thing REALLY has me worried beyond words.
I appreciate absolutely any help I can get and I thank you in advance.
P.S. - I have already contacted the VET on numerous occasions, and although they've prescribed meds for the time being, they were supposed to send someone over but they haven't yet and seem to be ignoring my calls (after hours maybe? Idk.)
