My cat who is a mother of two kittens, (which we also keep and care for) bites me in the morning when I’m asleep. She bites when she’s out of food. Especially when my feet are sticking out from under the blankets, which is often. She bites once, and really suddenly, then I’ll wake up usually with a Yelp. She runs away after that. Apparently she bites my boyfriend as well, but bites me more often. Maybe because I’m the one who feeds her everyday.(?)
She never did this before she had her kittens, after the kittens were old enough to wean and sleep in our room we relocated everyone with us. Aside from this she never shows aggression towards us. What is going on with her and how can I stop this behavior? I never use a spray bottle or disciplinary measures with her, maybe a stern “no” but that’s about it.
