9 week old kitten keeps clawing my legs/biting and making me bleed. What do I do?

I just got him a week ago from a family friend who breeds cats for their farm. I try to play with him at least an hour a day to let his energy out. But he continues to claw up my leg when I'm on the computer after work (I'm assuming he wants on my lap, or to play I'm not sure) I heard putting white vinegar on your legs helps deter them, but that just sounds like a pain in the ass to do every time I want to sit down and game after a long day. I never had a cat or kitten before, my parents did when I lived there but I never had to take care of them or anything, so I don't know what to do. I love him so much, but the clawing and biting is making it quite hard. Is there any other ways to stop this behavior? I should mention my place is only a 400 sq ft half-trailer, so there is not much space and there is only one bedroom.
